"...Here we are, the earliest bands originated in Pordenone. We are not here as pop stars or as record companies’ heroes, we are here as any kid could be, we are just regular kids who want to have fun. We don’t care about our older brothers who by now have grown a beard and who have so intensely taken on the organising of 'Rock against Racism', 'Rock against Nazi', 'Rock against', 'Rock against...’. Here we are with no political wrap and without the so called ALTERNATIVE record companies’ support. We are here and we are the firsts because we are better then everybody else.
I don’t want to know about your committed speeches. We are the BRAND NEW WAVE ...Hope I die before I get famous, I can’t wait to grow old and die because I hate politicians, I hate youngsters who waste their youth…I don’t believe in revolutions, I have no illusions, I am not a dreamer…I hate guitars in tune, I hate famous bands, I hate trendy clubs, I’m glad I did not end up on the Rough Trade shelves.
I can’t wait to miss these moments! I’m glad I’m not understood as I know that if I was, it would be the end. I sure know that we are not the “new music”! We are just the new heroes - 20th century heroes- Perhaps I’ll be defeated in the end, perhaps it will all end up dreadfully for me. But in the end, if only one kid recognises what I’m doing, then maybe I’m not doing this for nothing. I want to become trendy as I’m tired of crying at night.
What’s more important is to talk nonsense at the wrong time.”

OUT NOW!!!
After a long wait the reprinted CD version of the mythical manifesto LP of THE GREAT COMPLOTTO is finally available.
For those who missed it in 1980, for those who have always expressed an interest in the punk scene particularly in the one from Pordenone, this essential publication is accompanied by a CD and a fantastic 68 page comprehensive book including pictures + stories + gossips on THE GREAT COMPLOTTO scene. The CD also contains a video and several bonus tracks and extras not included in the 1980 album.
What to say? Grab your copy before it's gone, don’t miss it.

The Great Complotto story is a fantastic tale, one that everyone would like to live ... even thirty years later. A typical story about an Italian province: Pordenone. Telling it today shows how ideas and desire of being present are an inexhaustible source of creative energy. Also how the whole Italian punk movement was (always unfairly) overlooked.... In the late seventies some musicians from Pordenone decide to follow the punk wave that is spreading throughout the UK by going to London, to perform the famous pirate gig. HitlerSS and Tampax played under Aklam Bridge in Portobello Road. It was 1979. A performance that goes down in history as the "Cartoon Concert" – as they played instruments made of cardboard – and at the same time it introduces to Italy some of the most extreme experiences of the punk scene. Such provocative event can be compared to the Skiantos Spaghetti Performance in 1979 Bologna Rock. The Great Complotto is anomalously born in a context of an urban middle-class motionless and mouldy town: it’s a new wave that thought of itself as the creative counterparty opposed to ordinary standards.
Friday 16th May, Deposito Giordani, Pordenone, official presentation of Hitlerss’ posthumous album. A seminal band from Pordenone, which together with Tampax gave life to Punk in Italy. The band led by Miss xoX & Plastic girl and label BigStarRolling (see also Mercenary God, Ice & the Iced) of Preganziol will present the event.
The Photomodels will be on stage for their most awaited debut. The formation includes members previously partly seen in earlier line ups of The Great Complotto. Components seen in the most devastated rehearsal studios of Pordenone as well as on many stages throughout Italy, on very large stages as well as on very small ones (especially on these last ones). Bands like Prozac+, Tre Allegri Ragazzi Morti, Kickstart, Grains, Anemone, Spiders, Kid Weird & the Combos just to mention some of the most recent experiences and closing an eye on many of the distant ones for age-related confidentiality of the five members.
The Photomodels’ mission is simple:
to plunge into a cloudy but sublime energetic fluid based on late 70’s punk, NYC
rock'n'roll and attitude garage. All of that soaked up, metabolised and thrown
back at the audience through a burst of 3 minute tracks. Definitely not
recommended to those accustomed to take it too seriously and to flip floppers.

64.
Failed musicians and madmen, hopeless otakus obsessed with electronic.
No image, just a sticker or two left behind around the world to mark their trail. Little more is known about them. Maybe, at the moment that’s for the best but be aware that they are everywhere and that their work is nearly completed.
Throughout the evening dj-sets by StEvE and Tommy Gun.
